Private Studio In Quiet Bushland
Most mornings and evenings you will see our usual visitors, such as kangaroos, King parrots, Lorikeets and Wanga pigeons. Occasionally you can spot wallabies and our resident goanna.
Arakoon is off the highway and is situated just about half way between Port Macquarie and Coffs Harbour. Most beaches and walks are within a 10 minute drive from here.
Making it a perfect location for a relaxing holiday experience. Enjoy warm hospitality in beautiful surroundings.
Your room is very private, has its own access, a small kitchenette, and en-suite and features a wonderful outlook across lush bush dotted with tree ferns and Australian grass trees. You will also enjoy a great view across the gully from the deck whilst enjoying a delicious breakfast.
The room has its own access and you will be given a key to come and go as you please.
Guest access
Guests have access to the beautiful deck upstairs to enjoy breakfast.
All other meals can be prepared in the well-equipped kitchenette. A supermarket is within a short drive from the house. Or you may want to explore what South West Rocks has to offer, where you find a choice of pubs and restaurants.
The neighbourhood
Our house is located in a non-thoroughfare, bordering on the Conservation area, therefore it is idyllically quiet. We are surrounded by bush and have the privilege to encounter every single day Australian wildlife and the stars at night.
Interaction with guests
Check-in time is 2pm – 7pm
We will respect your privacy during your stay and on the other hand are happy to share with you our favourite walks and swimming spots, as well as providing you with information of other places to visit in the area.
This accommodation is not suitable for pets. The amazing bird and wildlife sharing our bush block is very much treasured by both visitors and ourselves and is easily distressed.
Parking is possible a few meters from your accommodation, which is at ground level. You will see a parking provided for visitors, which is just off to the left hand side of the garage.
A Washing Machine is available for guests staying longer than one night.
Our Accommodation Is For Your Comfort
House Rules
No smoking
We are non-smokers and would appreciate you not smoking inside the house or on the deck. Cigarette buds must be discarded in a dedicated bin due to bush fire danger.
Rubbish
Please use the appropriate bins for rubbish and recyclables and transfer in the appropriate bins located at the top of the driveway.
Water
None of the blocks in the area are connected to town water and we must therefore rely on rain to fill our tank for showers and washing. Please be aware that grey waste goes through a septic tank, so don’t block the drain with nappies and/or sanitary pads.
Shoes
We have adopted the habit of taking off shoes inside the house. We can provide you with a choice of slippers. Please leave your shoes in the laundry.
